According to my calculations, calendar, and now my “Ages & Stages” email, DD is 10 weeks old today. Both mommy and dd are still doing fantastic! The doc was very pleased with her progress. She tipped the scales at 9lbs, 13oz. She’s now 22.5 inches long. She did just fine through the immunizations, though she broke our hearts. For those that aren’t parents yet, let me assure you that there is nothing more heartbreaking that seeing your child in pain, knowing you can do nothing to ease it for them. To our parents, we now know how you feel. That sucks! The look of “But I trusted you” is really what does it for us. ugh.
So, since she can’t have candy/ice cream/some useless but ever so important trinket as bribery, we found another way.
Had a wonderful time at Como Zoo with dd, finally! We saw the Monkeys and Apes and Flamingos and Giraffes and Lions and Tigers (who else said “and bears. Oh my” here?).
Saturday and Sunday, we found out exactly how much stuff it takes to fill a 20 yard dumpster. You’d be amazed how much brittle plastic (non-recyclable) compresses when jumped upon.
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday were your typical work days. Thursday, dd hung out with GGM/GGD while we loaded up some scrap wood for The Mack to come get.
Busy and tirimg week that just flew on by. But at least we got to spend it together!
On a sidenote here, I’m sorry my posts are getting later and later, with less and less content. Free time and ambition broke up and left the house a while back. Every now and then, one will show up to pick up the mail, but that’s about it. I’ll try to have a talk with them this week.
