So on Tuesday. I should have been at work. Instead, I sat at home with a spine that was either on its way towards recovery (after chiro visit) or complete and total failure (I made that part up). As of Wednesday, recovery seems to be where I’m headed. Still tender. Wrong step and I go into hobble mode. Moving my neck the wrong way reminds me of the feeling you get when you shove your finger into a lamp socket that’s on. Not that I’ve done that… at Gradmom’s house when I was a kid…. a few times….
So, to cover the events of Sunday evening and Monday. Sunday evening, I kissed C goodnight, and went back to the house to do some more work. Touched up the Nursery, throwing down another coat of Green. Then started cutting in the master bedroom’s “accent” wall.
Barnum helped point out the flaws. He then took off and found something to play with. So I finished up the master bedroom on my own.
But not until after I made my mark.
I was just about ready to start on the ceiling in the nursery when I realized it was closing in on 130a. Decided bed might be a better option.

On Monday, I started at about 630a, working on the Ceiling in the nursery. Turned into pretty much an all day event.

Zeke showed up around 700a and began right away on the ceiling in the master. He then moved on to prime the guest room, and finally the walls in the master bedroom. He took off about 100p, and I shot over to Oz’s for lunch. Back to work by 130p or so. Got fed up with the screen door that kept falling apart. Rather than replace it, I over-fixed it.

Oz helped me with the clouds. Tis nice to have another artist in the family (C’s the other one). The directional video said that this is a fun activity for kids. She also noted that children tend to do it very well because they don’t overthink it. We watched the video twice, and discussed several times, until we started. I’ll have to agree on the overthinking thing.

This process was both fun and exhausting. Nothing like standing on a ladder, looking straight up, with an arm up too, moving in several directions at once. But it was so worth it. Our little one will awaken to a beautiful, partly cloudy day in a warm climate.
Did some more touch up in the master, then started disassembling the bedrooms, getting things cleared out for the floor guy that’s coming Thursday. So far, we’re a little behind schedule, but things are shaping up really nicely!

Hard to imagine that in less than 2 months, the room across the hall from our room will have an inhabitant that is equal parts C and I. Hopefully, he/she will get C’s looks.
So damn cool.
