Sunday was a fun day (whoa-a-whoa). Oz came over about 9ish with C’s truck (we left it up there the night before). So we sent C on her way, and got down to business.
After yesterday’s fiasco, I know precisely what color goes on what wall. So we worked on the yellow, including the actual wall that was supposed to receive it. Part way through the painting process, I grabbed the tripod and camera. Just cause C couldn’t be there didn’t mean that we couldn’t take pics for her.

We knocked off for lunch about noonish. We then started on the green. Oz cut in (as she’s more detail oriented, and doesn’t shake like a crack whore), then I rolled it out.

After rolling things out, I felt a bit ambitious, so I tried this whole “freehand” cutting-in. Oddly relaxing. You can only focus on the line, and have to keep a steady hand. So it was truly a test for me.

After getting the green to a point I felt was good for now, I cleaned up and headed up to Oz’s for “sunday dinner”. Oz, C, G&G, Bk and Mk were all there. We enjoyed burgers and hot dogs, beans and a fantastic potato salad. Lp and Kp stopped up with home made Cheesecake, and toppings (Cherry, Blueberry and Peaches). After cheesecake, we had the originally planned Poppy-Seed cake that G makes for all special occasions (Sunday Sunday Sunday!). Death by goodness.
Dl calls to let us know the I.S.S. will be swinging by. So after some logistical work, we head up to his place to watch it zoom by. Pretty flippin awesome.
With a full tummy, and still in the throes of a sugar high, I head back to the house to continue painting. C sends me off with a kiss and a hug, and a request: “Please don’t stay up too late, and take some time for yourself”.
I did. I took that time for myself setting up the camera. And it was “early” when I went to bed.

Cutting it in with a real paint brush

She’ll see that when the looks at the pics

Roll roll roll your paint. Careful, don’t you spill….

He was very helpful, letting me know where I missed
I’ll now go check things out, then put up the basecoat in the nursery. Zeke should be here in about 30 minutes to knock out the Master, then prime the Guest (and maybe roll that out too). That will give me time to focus on the Nursery. I need to recut some yellow, as I messed up Oz’s clean lines that she left when I “tried” cutting in as nice.
I sure hope our baby enjoys his or her nursery as much as we are. By this time next week, it will be ready for furniture. In 2 weeks, it will be ready for the baby. In 2 months, it will be ready for the traffic.
So cool….
